Airport aesthetic: CNC takes off as an art form

Our biggest CNC project to date finds Lattey Group’s Jason Kendrick working with renowned artist Jacob Scott to create stunning interior detailing for the new Hawke’s Bay Airport. Additional CNC panels carved from tanalised plywood will also be used on the airport building exterior.

It’s a great example of what can be achieved through the creative use of Computerised Numerical Control (CNC) technology.

Lattey Group initially invested in CNC to find cost efficiencies in precast mould making. Now, with Jason’s background in design and commercial joinery, we’re using it to create unique architectural art.
