KEY PROJECT: PRECAST

But wait, there's more: Lattey precast division extends it's product range

A big part of our work involves casting vertical panels for large commercial or public buildings. But that’s not all we do.

We also cast stairs, bleachers, box culverts and retaining walls. Most recently, we’ve added a couple of other items to that list - providing some very handy time and cost saving benefits for regional projects.

Manhole junction risers

As part of the HDC Wastewater Growth Programme, Lattey have supplied TW Group with bespoke manhole junction risers. These precast units are custom-made to suit individual wastewater pipeline routes. In the past, Hawke’s Bay project managers had often experienced long lead times when ordering out of Auckland. Lattey Group can now provide these units locally and supply within client timelines to streamline the construction process.

The magic roundabout

As part of the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council’s roading upgrades, Lattey have supplied TÅ«pore Infrastructure with a precast drop-in roundabout for the intersection of State Highway 2 and Ruatanihwa Street, Waipawa.

Tupore’s focus was to minimise disruption to traffic flow and avoid costly traffic management fees. This was achieved with off-site manufacture at Lattey’s Hastings precast plant. The roundabout was delivered and installed at 11pm, and it took just an hour to complete our portion of the works. While this was a relatively small installation, we can supply much larger units in sections, and quickly assemble these on site.

In addition, we can provide precast traffic calming speed humps, offering similar benefits of reduced traffic disruption and lower traffic management fees. With less traffic management personnel required, and quicker completion times compared to traditional methods, off-site precast manufacture also provides safety benefits for the roading contractor.
